Vintage Christmas Decorations, how many of you put up your tree today?
I have been decorating all day. The girls decorated the tree with
very little bickering. I was also busy in the kitchen making soup out
of the turky carcass.
I have had two really good days now. I am afraid to hope. Usually
after a good day I must pay the RA pipper. So far so good. I may
even work on my reroot today. Sure would like to see some of you
girls dawn Christmas outfits. |

-I have some very nice antique and vintage Christmas decorations I would like to
sell. Some lights, but many ornaments and two artificial trees. Nothing I
have is newer than the 60's but much of the stuff goes back to the 40's. -I know that my monster cat, Juble, who is 9-1/2 - 10 months old would LOVE to
have a beautiful Christmas tree to play with! If I decide to go ahead and put
one up, It'll have to be set it up in a room with a door -we have a strange tradition. We have numerous Christmas trees as I collect
vintage Christmas ornaments and have aquired two elderly trees to display them
on. I also have a minature one for the cats and a large one that Gary and I
bought after a trip to Selfridges, on that day we had nasty colds and decided a
mild tranquiliser was in order. By the time we got to the Christmas decorations
we didn't know what we were doing and bought $110 worth of decorations (this
was in 88). When we got home "panic" no lights and no tree so we ended up
buying two sets of lights and a tree. Since then we have expanded somewhat and
have some lovely vintage kugles. Sometimes they need repair and I can be seen
patiently repairing the tops and the missing threads are replaced with fishing
wire as its invisible. |
