Unique Christmas ornament suggestions?

This is the first Christmas that my husband and I will celebrate as a married couple, and the first year that we will be buying a tree together in our own place. We've decided that we'd like to start a tradition and buy a new ornament each year to celebrate our life together. Since this is the first year, we'd really like to splurge on something nice, and meaningful as well. I saw some beautiful ornaments at Swarovski, but wanted to ask here first if there were any other "brands" of Christmas ornaments that you would recommend? We're trying to stay away from the mainstream Hallmark ones, and more unique designs.

-Waterford Crystal make some lovely traditional ornaments. I'm not sure where'd you'd find them in the States though. -there is always Christopher Radko...who has tons to choose from and has new ones each year. Waterford (as mention before). Spode Christmas. I am now drawing a blank. I have a theme tree...of sorts...that includes every kind of dog ornament one can imagine. -I think Lenox makes some dated ornaments for occasions but not sure how "unique" they are. -The best, and most unique, glass ornament line is Slavic Treasures (made in Poland). They used to retail for about $40 apiece, but in the past year have lowered most of their prices to about the same range as Radko. Personally, I'm sick of the monopoly that Radko still has in most department stores. His line was quite creative a decade ago, but has since become so oversized, redundant and repetitious. If your tree theme is snowmen, Radko makes hundreds of them. Trouble is, they all look the same. There are so many newer ornament companies, established within the last few years, that are just waiting for a little exposure. I'd love to see stores get more daring and introduce consumers to lines like Eurovue, Susan Cherry and Christina's World. And more Old World Christmas (made in China) and Inge Glass (made in Germany) dealers would be nice too -- both lines make loads of great miniature ornaments.
