I already know to check Parliament Hill and the G.G.'s mansion, but I'm
wondering which communities/neighbourhoods are famous for some great (not ugly) Christmas lights displays? |

-Casino is nice- I think the Sun had a spread with some sort of contest
for the best light house..you may want to check their site..
There is a house in Blossom Park ( south and of the city) that is just
amazing it is on Rosebella and I believe it is Sixth Ave.... -There is a street in Orléans called Taffy Lane, I think year after year
every single house is just loaded with lots of lights.
There is literally a line up of cars waiting to drive
down this street! way to community! - Me and a friend once got hold of a house for sale sign and painted
it white then added the words "Tacky Lane" in large black letters with an
arrow pointing right and stuck it in the snowbank at the entrance to Taffy
Lane. We quickly ran off to Westcoast Video (across the street) laughing
our asses off. Last year, the United Church, also at the corner of Taffy
Lane always has lights that spell out Peace On Earth. Last year for about a
week, some of the lights were burnt out so the sign said Pe e On Earth - I DIDN'T put a sign on a church that said pee on
earth.... I said that a particular church had lights that spelled out peace
on earth and that some of the letters were burnt out-- the a and c. I'm
certain your no rocket scientist either. |
