Shall we decorate the porch for Christmas decorations?
What should the theme be?
Should it be tastefully done or tacky, with lots of plastic snowmen and
elves and stuff? What do you guys think? Personally, I nix the elves,
they resemble trolls too much. |

-I HATE tacky Christmas decorations! Modest white lights on a tastefully
decorated tree, unlit holiday garlad around the porch railing and posts, a full
wreath on the door. Candles (electric, for safety) in the windows. -Sending Erica a full 16" wreath decorated with pine cones & red berries & a plaid bow. Also a full coil of scotch pine roping for the porch's railing &
posts. -I have been tying small bows from raffia for my tree. Using dried hydrangeas & choke cherries from the woods, too. No, blinkers on this tree either!! But, I
do have an ornament that sounds like a canary. - the 7 year old loves tacky lights! And since the world
centers around him ;> we have to do multicolors at least, with angels
painted red, green, gold and blue! He painted them, of course. |
