Hallmark had produced a set of ball Christmas ornaments
resembling the Death Star and various planets (Alderaan, Tatooine,
Endor, etc.). Unfortunately, the ornament set was recalled. The Death Star was designed to shoot a real laser at the other
planets, however, stray shots set the Christmas Tree, kids, and small
pets on fire. The design was quickly recalled. Any thing else? |

- This sounds like Evil Jedi Chiitwood, or even Blue Harvest. If
Jedi-Ghost Chitwood has fallen, then woe to everyone... - I could imagine Death Star I & II and Faraway Galaxy planetary
ornaments that are illuminated from within. As for a laser, well, within a
few years, it wouldn't surprise me if they were able to design an ornament
that emitted a small laser-lightshow beam (non-cutting). Maybe the Death Star I & II ornaments could double as a both a
hanging rear-view mirror ornament and police scanner. -I looked for those Hallmark Christmas ornaments around Christmas time and
couldn't find them then at the Hallmark stores. They don't seem to get
enough of them in around me. That pretty well dashed any thoughts of
picking them up on sale after the holidays. |
