Need help with special Christmas gift!
I have just heard that my first Great Grandchild is going to be a girl!
Just what we all wanted. We are all so very excited and pleased. (Especially since GD had a miscarriage with last pregnancy.)
Now, I am not an expert stitcher, just a darn good intermediate
stitcher. What do you all recommend for a welcome Katherine Grace
stitched birth announcement? I need your expert advice. |

-Stoney Creek has had several very nice birth announcements through the
years. They have drawn thread areas and are very nice. If you want, I can
look through my old issues and see if I can find them. -What I'd like to see is a birth sampler/announcement/whatever that's
masculine enough that a teenaged boy wouldn't object too terribly
strenously to have hanging in his room, one which that same young man
wouldn't mind taking to college with him. You know: something
masculine, not cloying and sugary like most of these things, and not
so babyish as so many of these designs are. The one I did for a
friend's miracle baby is a nice feminine design, and even though
Stoney Creek gave a more traditionally masculine color option, it's
still a very feminine design. (It can be seen in my Picture Trail
site. The user name is "Condorita," and it's the album entitled The
Egglet Project.) Is there something that's classic and masculine? -Here are my favorite birth samplers:

let me copy the direct link. You're looking under designs for the Birth
Sampler)
