I really make an effort to leave the decorations up until after
Epithany Sunday, but didn't quite make it AGAIN this year. I yearn for
my house to get back to "Interior Motives" standards. My favorite TV
program on home decor. Because of my asthma I have the tree flocked
with a non-allergetic flocking and brought in a plastic bag and set up
in the living room. After the celebration was ended, I had over
fifteen guests for Christmas Eve, Breakfast, Dinner and some left
before I served supper, I started sneaking off doodads from the tree.
My husband I am sure would want it up until Easter was nearing. It
took three days before I had all the decoration off the tree and around
the house, and then the Tuesday following Christmas, I called my son
from across town and ask him to come over and take it out while his dad
was attending a funeral. I'm so sneaky. I think I am getting more
and more like my mother because in her later years she hung a wreath
and felt that did it. And wouldn't that be simple? |

-.I've managed to actually get the tree down. All my
Christmas decorations go into an antique trunk in the livingroom, and that
happens to have a heavy television on it; need the family men to move the
TV for me, SO every Christmassy item I own is piled on the livingroom
couch! I'm amazed I've made it this far! |
