If you use the keywords "sterling silver Christmas ornaments" on
Google to search for like items, the 6th and 7th items listed will be
in reference to my website. However for some reason the website
listed www.marketdiamond.com is not my website... mine is
www.silverwishes.com. If you click on the links they will take you to
my website. My dilemma is that, it is showing the marketdiamond
address in place of mine. I have done a whois on the domain and
attempted to send emails to the contact to no avail. I have also
contacted my hoster who has explained that for some reason "they" (marketdiamond) have their domain pointed toward my I.P. address. My
question is: When or how often does google do an update on this
information and how do I get it to read my website address rather than
marketdiamonds? I probably get free hits because of it but the
company I believe sells office furniture and besides I would rather
see my own address up there. |

-Whatever the problem was, it seems to be gone now. Your site comes up
clearly when searching on "sterling silver Christmas ornaments". -when i did the search, "market diamonds" URL came up with
your site description (as you mentioned). so it's still happening for some reason. i'm no web expert but i'd
suggest you do a WHOIS search on market diamond's owners, get their
details and contact them to let them know your dilemma. hopefully,
it's just a matter of them redirecting their IP address away from yr
site (which is easy to do, in my experience). - I see now how both Google and I got confused.
There is a domain nameserver problem with marketdiamond.com that
causes the world to see your Silver Wishes website when you enter
"marketdiamond.com" in your browser. Try it yourself. I think your
best solution is to contact marketdiamond.com's domain name registrar - Network Solutions (networksolutions.com) - and their nameserver host
company - domainhost.com - and tell them that the IP address returned
for marketdiamond.com is pointing to your silverwishes.com website.
Unfortunately, I would expect both companies to be difficult to cajole
into action since you are not the site owner for marketdiamond.com.
Ultimately, you may have to try to contact the site owner to get
anything done since the misinformation could originate with his
hosting company. |
