Silver Christmas Decorations, SO NOW IT'S MONDAY

I thought this was as good a time as any to start a discussion about Christmas decorations. This year I'm going to decorate my tree with lots of coloured lights, tinsel, and anything that survived last year. Because I have 2 young kids, I won't be having the lovely glass balls(again, sigh!), I can start doing that again as they get older. Once the tree is up, I'm getting coloured and glittery paper and stuff and setting the kids to work. If all goes well my tree will get fuller with decorations as time goes by: there's nothing my kids like better than playing with glue, paper, wire boxes and anything else they can find. So, what are you guys doing? What colours are you using? My own favourite would be purple, silver and gold decorations....

-I have all the tree decorations that were given to me through the years........lots of Nutcrackers(ballet) stuff....white lights and a mess of other things, very old fashioned.....My aunt made a quilt tree skirt for us.......and the crèche goes out on the hutch and all my nutcrackers(the real ones) that were given to me (and some were my step father's) go out too. Williamsburg lights in the window(single one in each) and there you go....... I put all of her Christmas artwork up on the kitchen cabinets, -I use mostly white lights with one strand of colored lights deep in the tree. Then I add long strands of small red wooden balls and some red and gold velvet bows. I have alot of Hallmark and Avon ornaments that will adorn my tree. Last Saturday I bought some beautiful "Martha Stewart" glass balls, one box of red and one box of pastel green. I think I will get a box of gold glass balls to add some more color.
