As with last year, I will spend a bit of time crafting some more Arcade
Related pewter Christmas ornaments. I would like to have made a few new designs, however, with a baby and
all, this is actually a great feat just to find a bit of time to
maintain status quo. I am also trying to hold on to my arcade space.. |

-A couple of years ago I bought a Pac Man and Q*Bert ornament. These are
excellent and great quality! -For my 3 1/2 year old niece, a set of pewter Christmas ornaments for the
12 Days of Christmas, with numbers on them. My husband got me a set of
jewelry gift boxes, and each one will be wrapped individually. I try to
give "cool" gifts to her that other people won't think of. Also a
stocking cap & mittens in her favorite color. For my aunt (CL, wish she would have been CF), a pewter salt dip to add
to her collection. For my mom & dad, books on the 20th Century, with CD audio of the radio
broadcasts of the events. My mom is retiring from teaching in May, so I
can't give her cool books on British history & literature anymore, since
she's sworn she doesn't want to look at them for a couple years after
she retires. For my husband, a desktop trebuchet, and some motorcycle gear. Possibly
also a Black & Decker cordless drill that he's been salivating over. Haven't figured out yet what we're giving MIL & FIL. MIL is difficult,
as she has limited needs and abilities to use anything anymore. FIL is
difficult because he doesn't really want or need anything material.
We're talking about finishing outfitting a computer for him, but he
doesn't have anywhere to put it. My FIL DID give me an incredibly wonderful early Christmas gift (I've
told him that he couldn't get me anything else, because it would be
impossible to top). He built me an oak & walnut steamer trunk that is
absolutely beautiful. He's currently working on refinishing a coffee
table for my husband's present. |
