I was watching a video review show called Vids last night and saw the
perfect Christmas presents for Dusty (but ultimately for me) it's a video

-The day after Christmas Day..... oh yeah sorry i forgot you guys don't have
it do you. Our Christmas in the UK is Christmas day and Boxing Day (this
year we also get too public holidays on the Monday and Tuesday because of
how Christmas falls over a weekend, and another on the following Friday and
Monday because its a new Millenium, so lots of relaxing and time off for
me..... oh poo I work in school so I'd have had the time off anyways :-P)
Anyway Boxing Day ........ the day after Christmas day..... the feast of
Stephen...... You know the song 'Good King Wencsles Last'...... oh never
mind...... its the 26th Decemeber anyway. It is thought to have begun by the
giving of Chrsitams boxes (tips or Christmas presents) to servants in
households, tradespeople, delivery people, minor public official and the
lamplighters. Originated in the 17th or 18th centrury. -I gave an ex-girlfriend a heart-shaped box.
In the box was a pig's heart with a nail driven through it.I got the pig
heart from the butcher.I know that sounds more like a Valentine's day
thing,but she liked anything heart-shaped. -I did manage to score a perfect "10" with what I gave my niece: handmade pewter
Christmas ornaments for the 12 Days of Christmas, and a stocking cap & mitten set
in her favorite color, which just happens to coordinate with her new winter coat. |
