Please let me know who the Osbourne family is!! I don't watch much TV or
movies, so maybe I have missed out! We are leaving for Orlando this
Wednesday! Do they like outdoor lighted Christmas decorations? |

-The Osbournes are a family that put up so many Christmas lights that their
neighbors took them to court to have the lights taken down. The Osbournes
lost, so now they display all their Christmas lights at MGM Studios. 4
million lights in all. I saw them on the opening night on Nov 27th and it
was really quite a site! The lights start on the fake NY city street and and
you continue walking by the houses that are on the backlot tour. All the
buildings, trees, and surroundings are just covered with colored lights and
decorations. The best part - you don't have to wait in a line to see it
because its just something you walk along. -They love Christmas lights, live in Arkansas and used to spend a lot of time in
court. -The lights were so great they drew HUGE crowds of
people, creating a traffic nightmare for the Osbornes' neighbors. A similar
thing happened in a town near me in Pennsylvania, and the solution the family
decided on was to move the display to the county fairgrounds, which are much
better suited for the traffic and crowds. I think they've got a teriffic
solution, because it's much more accessible, without blocking neighbors from
getting to their homes. -You can do anything you want with your private property until it starts
stomping on my rights to use and enjoy my own property ... I doubt they started out to cause a problem but somewhere along the line,
common sense flew out the window. When they hit the on-switch, it's
a wonder the rest of the neighborhood didn't dim down. |
