My Mom wants me to make origami ornaments for our neighbors, to go with
the plates of Christmas cookies she normally gives them. I remember
someone mentioning a traditional modular origami ball which contained some
good smelling thing (cinnamon?). If that person could contact me (by
e-mail or website) and tell me where I could find instructions for this
within the next day or so (before I go home) |

-this isn't an exact answer, but it should give you an idea. the item is
called a "kusudama" (I hope i spelled that right) ball. if you only have a
day to make them for neighbors, you might want to make something else. i
don't know exactly how many sheets they take, but something like 15-20
sheets of paper per ball, and then you string the sheets together into a
ball with needle and thread. then you can put a little tassle on the end.
just about every general origami book has an example of one, and some
packages of double sides paper also have instructions for making them.
here are a couple of pictures that i found: http://www.kimscrane.com/231841.html

before on origami flowers by dabbing a q tip of the oil on the flowers. i
would think you could buy a cinnamon oil and dab it on the ball. |
