Men's bathrobe: appropriate and Christmas gifts?
I have this new boyfriend, about 8 weeks we've been dating. It's not
really serious yet, but seems to be going in that direction. Well,
figures it is right at gift-giving time, to add stress.
I don't know what to get him. I thought a nice coffee-table book. He
doesn't have one. I also thought about a museum membership, he would
enjoy it. But, he has mentioned a couple of times that he needs a
bathrobe. Is this an appropriate gift for a new relationship? I would
want to get him a really nice one, but am afraid that a gift of about $150
would be too much at this stage, and may embarrass him?
I think a book may be too impersonal, but given along with the museum
membership, it may become more personal.
Any thoughts? |

-I remember the sticky situation you are in. You want to get a
good gift, but not TOO good! I actually made the mistake of buying my boyfriend
of 2 months a fairly expensive watch for Christmas! But, guess what? He married
me anyway.:-) I have just always loved to give jewelry as Christmas gifts. I
guess because I love it so much myself.:-) If he wears ties, what about a tie
tac? I think they are so elegant on a man. Just a thought........You can get a
pretty nice 14K gold one for under a $100. -i think $150 is too much to spend at this point--it's still early on. i
think a book, even a coffee table book, would be a nice, appropriate
gift. -You can never go wrong with a nice bottle of wine. -How about delaying the bathrobe until Valentine's Day? You will be in the
second trimester of the relationship |
