Christmas presents are optional too...but does that mean a
child should be denied anything under the tree because you think
it will make him stronger? It's also optional to recognize your child's birthday, allow him/her
to practice driving in your car, for you to celebrate their graduation,
etc...so you will deny these things too...just because they may have

and filet crochet pictures of religious, oriental and other patterns. -Could you enlighten me about the benefits a child gets from a school
annual? This was one expense my parents didn't think was quite as
necessary as food, clothes and shelter, therefore I never got an annual.
I can't say I've ever missed not having one, but if you say there are
benefits, I'm open to ideas.
