My daughter is getting married in December(27th). We need inexpensive ideas for
the favors to give your guests. This wedding is being done on a limited budget
and so far we're doing great keeping things managable, but we've run out of
ideas to make My Own Christmas Decorations and this wedding. Any help? |

-A friend was married recently, and instead of throwing rice or birdseed,
they blew bubbles. I'm too tired to hash out the difference in price, but I
know they said it was cheaper, plus the guests could leave with the
leftovers. (They did it on their own, not through the companies that make
the special little bottles.) -How about Christmas ornaments (purchased on sale, of course) with the guests'
name in gold, along with the wedding date and couples' first names. You should be able to find plain colored balls for about 8/$1.00 on sale
somewhere. You could maybe then tie a little bit of silk holly to the top, and
a bit of ribbon. I figure that you could do them for about $.30 each. -My sister got married in mid November a couple of years ago and came up with
a neat little favor. She bought a bunch of plain glass Christmas tree
ornament balls in a dark purple (her wedding colors were dark purple and red.
It sounds strange, but it worked really well). Then printed a little
message on some cream paper (I don't remember what it said. Something cute),
rolled the paper and tied with red ribbon (like little scrolls) then attached
them to the ornaments with more red ribbon. The total cost was just that of
the ornaments (I think she got them at a dollar store, or Big Lots or
whatever for like $1.49 for 12) the paper (the scrolls were small so she
didn't need much of that) and the ribbon. I don't have any idea of her total
cost on this one, I was in Georgia when all of the planning for the Michigan
wedding was taking place (Best place to be when a wedding is taking place is
definatly a few states away.) but it was fairly inexpensive and it makes a
nice yearly reminder of their wedding. |
