Has anyone seen LED Christmas tree lights in the stores? I can find them
online but it's a bit late to order them now... my wife wants to string about 10strands of regular lights on the tree
every year, and every year we argue about it (I point out she'll burn the
house down doing that). LEDs would seem to solve that problem- the
manufacturer claims you can string up to 30 together. Plus, I'm thinking
that LEDs will burn lots less electricity. Which makes me want them for the
exterior of the house also... |

-if you can check Target, they have the energy saving bulb
sets from Phillips - they seem to use a LOT less electricity - are
indoor/outdoor - and are cool to the touch after 8 hours of being lit. -we have tons of LED Phillips sets here. They were on sale 9.79 or
pretty close to that for a 60 light set They do look pretty nice. -Target has them but they are real expensive. I havent seen them on sale
yet here. Also Walmart had them as well. Target has several prelit
trees that come with the led bulbs, for the people who dont have time
for Christmas. Now if they only had trees that had ornaments already on
them, then we could just put it up in a couple seconds. -Not when you consider they use 1/5th to 1/20 of the electricity. Our
electric bill last year with the Christmas lights was $125 more then normal.
That means in 1 month the lights will pay for themselves. |
