I and my friend 'll celebrate Christmas party, so we desperately needs a
Celtic/Irish poem to read at the party. She's looked far and wide at
the Celtic shops in the city, the local library, and some local Irish
priests, to no avail. Does anyone out there know of any good poems she
could use on the Irish Christmas party ? Is there something wrong with "May the road rise up to meet you, May the
wind be always at your back..."? (I'm not sure how the whole thing goes,
but you see it on greeting cards and so forth all the time, it's been set
to music by various people, and I've even seen it on Christmas ornaments.
It ends "And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his
hand.") I'm sorry, but I once took a course on Celtic poerty, and now, whenever
I hear those two words together |
