A neighbor and I drove out to Simi Valley tonite to see 2 heavily decorated
houses.
One had every einche of the house, lawn, trees, totally covered in lights. Atop
the housewas a tree shaped from lights and a red Chevrolet symbol...( that I
did not understand-unless the guy works for chevy) on top of the tree. It was
really drawing the crowds, on foot and in cars. I got a couple photos.
House # 2... the front and one whole side.. was a corner house, had Disney
characters both painted on, and animated wood cut outs... You had to find
Waldo and 15 green ants... the trees were loaded with Disney characters.. all
bushes decorated.. hedges all lit up.. garage door painted with a huge
breaking wave.It too, had tons of people looking and counting ants.
House With Christmas Lights, any suggestion? |

The first one sounds like the Becker house on Sycamore. They do that
every year. One year the local Women's Club sold tickets for tours of
decorated homes at Christmastime. My mother-in-law, who was a member,
gave tickets to my daughter and me. That house was one of those we
toured, and it was just as thoroughly decorated inside as outside.
There was even one room with nothing but Christmas decorations in it.
They also go all-out for Halloween. This one was up Yosemite.. to first street you can turn Right. ( past
McDonalds, etc).go along it , and I cannot think of the name of it... until you
see the lights on the left. Can't miss it. Will have to look for the one on
