My wife competes with our neighbor across the street and the neighbor
always wins out, mainly because she has deeper pockets and her mother is
constantly bringing over new stuff!
I would like to make my own sleigh and other cutouts and have heard of
some cool thing you can do with PVC pipes!
I would like to get some ideas or any websites that you know, that have some
great ideas for Christmas yard decorations, that I can build myself and that
look awesome?

Your wife needs a boot upside the arse. Why do you go along with
her insanity? Get a good divorce lawyer and get one NOW!! Life is too
short to worry about trivialities such as Christmas decorations. We put
up our outdoor Christmas lights 10 years ago, and LEFT THEM UP. Lights
are so cheap these days, it makes more sense to just put em up, leave em
up and replace them every 15 or 20 years. As opposed to spending hours
every year putting them up and taking them down
You guys probably buy new vehicles every year to stay ahead
of your neighbors. You know who you are impressing? Nobody! Only in your
mind are you achieving anything. Keep on throwing your money away in a
feeble attempt to be one up on your neighbor. Someday you will realize
waht a total waste your life has been.
The guy said he was looking for a frugal way to do
it. Although I don't compete with my neighbor individually we do have
a house decorating contest in our area, which you can participate in
or not as you choose. The award is based on originality and how the
decorations fit with the house, rather than the amounts. There are a
lot of inexpensive creative ideas one can use.
Although I don't use pvc pipe, I do buy large pieces of board and cut
out shapes and sand and paint them for example, and put light on my
outside trees
Some of us are just pain christmas decoration nuts. I put my stuff
out the day after thanksgiving, (in the house) if my kids had their
way it would be after thanksgiving dinner!
Some of us are just into decorating and some arent. For what its
worth, we also decorate for valentine's day and other holidays. I
have a year around tree that I use. |
