Councils are on a loser whatever. Damned if they do...damned if they
don't. In Central London I think that it is the local businesses that pay for
the decorations. When the money that flows through tills in
Oxford St is considered the investment in decorations is derisory.Newcastle Christmas decorations? |

I quite like decorations done properly. Brightens the place up on otherwise
dull winter days. What I don't like is when it's still (almost) summer and they put the
decorations up! At least leave it until the middle of November! |
