I got quite a lot of Peanuts stuff for Christmas! I was very happy with
what I got, too! I got: -The Peanuts DVD 3-Pack - A GREAT present! Excellent quality (IT'S
CHRISTMASTIME AGAIN, CHARLIE BROWN was somewhat better than I expected), and
good choice of cartoons, though it'd be great if there were more than two on
each disc, though. -A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS: THE MAKING OF A TRADITION - As some of you already
know, this book is a must-buy! With rare photos, new interviews with Peter
Robbins and Christopher Shea (and pics of them, too!), lots of working files,
and even the script of the special itself (complete with stills)! -PEANUTS TREASURY - Whether this book has a complete collection of strips or
not, it was still very entertaining and fun! -Three strip collection books: THE DOCTOR IS IN(SANE), SEASON'S GREETINGS!,
and BAH, HUMBUG! They're very cute! I also enjoyed my other presents! Another thing to make this year's
Christmas bittersweet was CBS's final airing of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS. In
a way, it's like the end of an era (which is what the year 2000 can be best
described for PEANUTS). Hope the rest of you had a great Christmas! |

I got a new ceramic cookie jar called Charlie Brown and the Gang "Lets
Celebrate" it has P. Patty Schroeder, Sally, Franklin,Marcie, Lucy and
Linus, dancing around the base of the jar. The lid is Charlie Brown with
Snoopy and Woodstock in his lap. Its full of color, I think it was bought
from Wal-Mart, not sure. Also I got a sculptured treasure windchime called
"Charlie Brown's Kite" I got something called a Very Merry Whirl-Around,
Blockbuster put them out in '99 I think. It works like a compass and has CB,
Lucy and Snoopy dancing around a tree. Last but not least, I got a little
plastic airplane with Snoopy flying and if you push the wheels in on the
bottom it drops candy bombs from the back of the plane. Pretty good X-mas! |
