this song would be perfect for a video. any song is, but the christmas
song is so damn sweet and errr.... christmasish it should have one.
here's my treatment for it: the begining, close up of pat hitting the cymbal lightly as snow starts
falling as seen through a nearby window. sweeping shot out as the music
kicks in. he has christmas lights on his drums. the rest of the band is centered around a sad charlie brown lookin'
christmas tree with all sorts of lights, ornaments, and bows. rivers
does the little my heart is broken look as he sings. then he looks at a
christmas card hanging by the fireplace, it has a picture of a girl
inside of it. so it turns to her tale, she is just as lonely. you get
the idea. hit the chorus again and back we go to weezer. in the say it ain't so spirit they all run outside during the solo in
t shirts and play in the the snow, which is falling on the palm trees
and california items. they throw snowballs in snow motion. back they go
inside and play. a little time lapse thing and rivers is sitting by
himself by the christmas tree with a big present. he looks out the
window and there's christmas card girl with a present,christmas song video. rivers runs for
the door and we se that behind them the tree got all big and beautiful
looking. happy ending. |
