At 10pm last night(after Brother Bear at AMC) from the back of the DtD
'Lilo parking Lot' I heard the Christmas Fantasy Parade doing rehearsals
on Main St in Disneyland.
Very loudly.. and from that far away.
Disneyland has said many times that F! gets neighbor complaints due to
noise so they have turned the volume down during F!..
F! is on the ROA(much closer to Lilo than Main St) and F! can barely be
heard from Lilo anymore, much less Pinocchio or even on Main St. Yet the
CFP can be heard loud and clear from Main St and as far back into the
Lilo lot as you can get. It seems like DL is gonna get some more
complaints if the CFP runs that loud this year. Possible even more
Believe complaints also ... even though Disneyland has already quite
noticeably greatly reduced the amount of shells used nightly, especially
in the Nutcracker Suite section. I guess I'm just ranting on the fact F!
and BiHM have been reduced in scope and magnitude(and volume) while the
CFP is 10 times louder than ever..(as if it needs to be, ON Main St with
Guests 5 feet away from the speakers). Raise the F! volume again, return
BiHM to last years pefection and retire the CFP. DL needs a new
Christmas parade. TDL and DLP have had half a dozen new parades each int
eh time span DL has ben dragging the CFP down Main St .. not to mention
that pile of crap parade at DCA. Eureka destroyed, DEP still runs
semi-nightly. that compeltely f'kin sucks IN ONE GUESTS
OPINION. Eureka kicked the decades old DEP in the ass entertainment and
ESPECIALLY music-wise. I would rather listen to cats in heat outside my
window at 4am than hear that stupid DEP soundtrack.
Disney... you destroyed the wrong parade.. you destroyed the good and
left the ages old boring annoying stupid crap.
What a stupid ass decision that was. WTF Matt... Why destroy Eureka? "Instead of using it again somehow(like we use the costumes in every new
show at DCA)... let's just mangle the complete hell out of it and cost
ourselves millions!!" Not much has changed since Cynth left.. certainly not for the better. I am really looking forward to not financing anymore outright money
wasting complete finacial stupidity when my AP runs out.
The DLR is still for the most part a wonderful place, but so many
clueless, financially illogical heads-up-our-asses decisions make it a
less fun place to hang out, visit, take friends, family and out of town
guests to. |

So just why does the Christmas Fantasy Parade suck so badly now? What
happened to the REAL parade that ran up to just a few years ago? -- you
know, the one with the Mary Poppins & chimney sweeps rooftop float, and
the lostboys, etc... Rememember Maleficent had to duck under each of the strings of garland
crossing Main Street? ..or is all of this stuff still in the parade and
I just saw a scaled-down weekday version of it last year (and the year
before, and the year before)? |
