Any Ideas Why a GIF File Does Not Show Up Properly?

Any Ideas Why a GIF File Does Not Show Up Properly? Before you look at my page just remember, I do not claim to be a professional web page builder. With that said: I have a web site at: http://frugalfart.homestead.com On the links page I have added Christmas lights on the top of the page. They display fine on my browser (IE6 on Windows 2000 OS). However on my wife's computer (IE6 on ME OS) it just shows up as distorted lines of color. I've noticed that this happens on other computers as well. Anyone have any ideas of what is causing this or how to fix it?

-Fails for me too with NT4/sp6 + IE5.5 The links page takes *forever* to load and the background graphic does not fill the page Some linked graphics such as UMweather and Live365 taking up to two mins. to load, and I have a 64K line -To put it simply, gross, AOL-Kewl-Kiddieish, designed to be slow, a security minefield, and totally lacking in content. 1. Gross because your graphics are all overly large. 2 AOL-Kewl-Kiddieish because of all the gizmos that only serve to make the site slower. 3. Designed to be slow, not only because of (1) and (2) above, but because a lot of your furniture have to be accessed from external public libraries. To explain, if a particular graphic is being accessed by 1000 people, many of them viewing sites other than yours, then the time to load each is 1000 times what it should be. 4. A security minefile (at least one potential anti-personnel type) is the requirement (or request) to download/install the gimmiky AOL-Kewl-Kiddie cursor. 5. Lacking in content because it contains nothing except gross graphics, links (that relate to no theme) or banner ads, and AOL-Kewl-Kiddieish gizmos. Still, I suppose posting here for a review will give you a few visitors for your counter (visitors who, by the way, - will never return - assuming they stay long enough for your bloated pages to load and display).
