We are thinking of taking the ferry over to Vancouver island to see the
Butchart Garden Christmas lights display. I don't know anyone who has
seen this night time display so I wonder if those that have think it's
worth it...is it really great? Their own web site doesn't say much
about it except they have it. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who
has seen it. Also we would love to know about nice parks in the Sidney
area (not in the city of Victoria) that are big where we can hike on
trails or beaches with our dogs. Also if anyone knows anything about
either of these motels that say they take dogs in Sidney: Cederwood or
Best Western Emerald Isle etc... |

-I love the winter lights display! I live here and take my visitors
there every year for it. It sure puts you into the holiday spirit :)
Around the gardens there are carollers as well. If you haven't seen it
before I recommend a trip!
Island View Beach, John Dean Park, Elk/Beaver Lake Parks,
Peninsula/Galloping Goose Trail. One stop at the tourist kiosk in
Sidney should provide you with maps to the park and trails as well |
