My 18month old daughter is fascinated by Christmas lights (and we like
em too), where are the BEST displays around Austin (besides Zilker)? We
want to drive around and look, if you have seen great displays in your
neighborhood or somewhere, please respond or reply. Heck, I'm sure other
people would want to know. It's more interesting than talking about
Fry's. We always hear about neighborhoods that have great displays but
never seem to find them. If you want, you could offer your suggestions |

-Circle C Ranch has very good displays, easy to drive around in. Also, if your
willing to drive a bit, Marble Falls has a really great display set up on the
side Lake Marble Falls. It's a walkthrough display, really good for kids, and
there is a also a well decorated private residence on Hwy 281(on the way) that
can be driven through. -1 block south of 38 1/2 st off Guadalupe, going east.
You'll see the cars lined up in the right hand lane of the northbound side
of Guadalupe, waiting to make a right turn into the little neighborhood
street.
Don't drive. Park at the Diamond Shamrock on Guadalupe and walk the couple
of blocks to see the display. Most of the best stuff is in the backyards of
some of the folks, who have set up their entire property as a display.
If she's 18 months, you'll probably want to bring a stroller or a backpack
baby carrier. |
