Christmas lights

Lots of lights up around here. And so many beautiful trees in windows. I just love the lights at Christmas time. They twinkle so beautifully. We have a pre-lit, multicolored tree. Our friends across the street have the pre-lit, white light one. Both really are pretty. It was nice for Al not having to deal with the lights this year. We used to have a friend that used to work for Campbell's soup. Every year, he'd give me a Campbell's ornament. I have them dated back to 1980. They are so pretty all over the tree. what do you think ?

-I have lights on the outside of my house. I had a multicolored fiberoptic tree that was really beautiful in the store. I bought it in the after-Christmas sales, and never opened the box until a few days ago. When I set it up, I found it was very misshapen, and even moving the branches around didn't help much. Not only that, it leaned to one side, and there was no way to straighten the trunk. It looked really pitiful. I figured it was too long after I bought it for them to do anything, but a paper in the box said to call if you weren't completely satisfied, so I did. The woman said that, since I didn't have a receipt to prove I bought it out of Christmas, I had to mail them the tree (not the base) and they'd send me a new one. I did, but I don't expect the new one until after Christmas. I think I'll set it up whenever it comes. I just hope it doesn't lean too. In the meantime, I put a glass bud vase upside-down in the base, and sometimes I plug it in. The vase changes colors, and I get a whole rainbow of colors circling on the ceiling. -There's a page in next weeks People magazine (I subscribe and get mine on Friday or Sat. before) about a family in St. Pete who put up so many lights their light bill is over $1100/month!.
