The people I have been seeing in my store are really stressed out and
some are downright crabby. I am surprisingly low key so far but have
not started my x-mas shopping yet. How are you all holding up? |

-I tried something different this year. In the week after Thanksgiving, I
ordered what little shopping I needed to do from catalogues. Harry and
David, PBS Video, Vermont Farms (Grrreat catnip bags for the felines,
among other things) and Priesters (for some sugar-free goodies.)
Everything was delivered within ten days, and I'm done. Figure the extra
money spent on catalogue shopping was worth my time and parking and the
screaming kids. (I used to SCOFF at any catalogue shopping.) -I hate all the crowds and traffic. People have lost the true meaning of
Christmas! They're doing this because they feel they have to. You ought
to see how things are at the Welfare Dept. . Christmas is for chidren;
we have parents asking for gifts for teens! Everbody wants free
Christmas baskets too; whether Christian or not! To qualify one ought to
have to bring in a note from their priest. -I have finished the shopping and will mail the cards out today. I
thoroughly despise Christmas and everything to do with it. People treat
each other like for most of the year and then get all warm and
fuzzy during the holidays. Christmas reminds me of how fake the human
species can be. |
