-i think it is marvelous that you are being so thorough in replacing the
iron...but please tell me that this iron isn't going to be a
birthday/valentines' day/christmas gift for the girlfriend. my sweet dh
gave me a can opener before we were married for christmas (lord knows we
did need one), but he learned quickly that small appliances are not
always good gifts for girlfriends...unless of course you do as my dad
did for my mom, and stash a pair of diamond earrings in with the
appliance...happy shopping. sue, who in april will be married 10 years
to dh, who has never bought me another appliance for christmas. -When my husband & I were dating our first holiday season together was
approaching. Knowing how practical DH is I bluntly told him "I don't
accept toasters for Christmas, birthday, etc." and that if he gave me any
type of appliance that he would find a new toilet seat in his Christmas
stocking." I also told him I don't cook or clean. He married me anyway
because he thought I was kidding! |
