I put up some decorations the other day. I have a lovely fibre optic tree
which has white branches and flashing blue points on the needles. I also
have some multiccoloured fairy lights and a plasma lamp.
Has anyone else put up Christmas decorations? |

-Not yet. I go away for Christmas so I don't usually put up a tree. I kpet
one fully decorated for a bit in my store room and could just take it out
and plug it in but some helpful person undecortared it one day and put it
away. I woul dlike a fibre optic tree but since I am never home for it wind
up thinking there must be something a little less seasonal in fibre optics.
At home we used to have candles and everything on the tree and I find most
trees boring by comparison. I think this year I will take some of my
decorations with me. I inherited some nice little Nisse. (a bit like elves)
Who hold candles and it seems a shame they just sit ina box. I thought of
even doing the table centrepiece as my gift to my sister in law this year
but she has pretty different ideas about Christmas so I don't know. -ive put up our decorations, of course because of ryan (3) and adam (2) we
have a lovely half tree
on the wall!! but its got loads of twinkly stuff and lights
ryan espcially likes the tinsel, it makes a good line -I found out recently, much to my surprise, that other than stockings and
things for the (not yet purchased) tree, I have only one decoration from
last year and a wreath for the door I made this year. I would like to
get more, but it's probably pointless because I'm too inert to put them
up. -I would've done, but I'm moving house right now, so I'll spend the
time until christmas just organising the new place... no chance of
much in the way of decorations this year, I think. -What ever happened to the pipe cleaner nisse you made? I made some dough
ornaments with the kids. Rather than try to keep them, I think we will
re-do them annually, only keeping one per child per year and shellac
just those so they'll last. They aren't exactly the most stunning
ornaments, but I think we'll enjoy looking back at them in a few years'
time. |
