I came home from a week in Ohio and sneezed all night.
Decided that yes, I really did need to vacuum, so I
started picking up the floors. I picked up a handful
of small scraps that really are too small for FPP, and
decided to challenge myself to come up with a way to
use them anyway. (Can you tell I really hate to
vacuum?)
Anyway, I didn't kill as much time as I had hoped to,
because I used them within 5 minutes.
I was repacking the plastic storage box where I keep
the supplies for Christmas ornaments (I wanted hand
work to do in the car for four days of driving and
settled on Christmas ornaments and left the whole mess
till I got back) and I found a clear plastic ball with
a hanger. (I had bought them last summer thinking to
put beach sand and small shells in them to send up
north.) You wouldn't believe how pretty it looks with
all my fabric scraps in it. I think I'll make an
ornament of scraps for each quilt I do, and give away
the ornament with the quilt. |

-that is are really cute idea (I wish I had thought of it first BG) I
have clear glass ornaments that have that multicolored sparkly easter
grass inside, And the do look pretty, but your idea is a keeper. -You can also glue bits of fabric on the outside of the bulbs, then
decorate with Tulip Paint in Crazy Quilt Stitch fashion. These are
really cute. Like you idea too...so fast and quick. |
